Goloco ("we", "us", "our") operates the Goloco mobile and web application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service. By using Goloco, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely).
• Profile information: your role (shop owner or customer) and shop details if you are a shop owner.
• Location information: with your explicit consent, we access your device location only while the app is in use, to show nearby coupons, branches, and offers. Location data is not collected in the background or when the app is closed.
• Usage data: how you interact with the Service, including coupons claimed, viewed, and redeemed.
• Device information: device type, operating system, and browser version.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the Service, including showing relevant nearby offers.
• To process coupon claims and redemptions at participating shops.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• To analyse and improve the Service, including personalising content and offers.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Shops you interact with, so they can honour and track coupons you claim.
• Service providers (e.g. payment processors, cloud hosting) who help us operate the Service.
• Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data governed by their own privacy policies:

• Stripe: processes payments for subscriptions. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
• Google Maps: powers location and map links for branch directions. Google may collect device and location data when you open a map link.
• Cloud hosting and analytics providers: help us host the Service and understand usage patterns to improve performance.
• Email service: used to send account verification, support, and transactional emails.

These providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising purposes.

6. Data storage and retention

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers with appropriate access controls. We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Account and associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request. You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings, or by contacting us at hello@goloco.me.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent to processing (e.g. location access).
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

7. Your rights

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Security

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Children's privacy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Changes to this policy

You can delete your Goloco account and all associated data at any time directly in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Alternatively, you can request deletion via email.
